Warhammer Fantasy Orion

This was one of my favorite Wood Elf minis.  I remember wanting to make an army based on Orion and his troop types.  I painted the older version of this figure as well.  I think this got a bronze in the large creature category at our first Adeption in '07.

  1. Thanks for doing these pictures !!But one question though, can you remember what colour you used for the green skin and foliage please? Continuous like that it's magnificent

      There were no specific colors used on the cloak or foliage. If you look at some of the articles on "shaded basecoat" you will get an idea of how I approach things.

      I started out by having some light greens and browns, and brushed thosed over the surface very rapidly, making sure to vary the mixtures.

      Once I had the light greens and browns to my brightest lights, I did a series of glazes and washes to shade and tint the cloak and foliage darker. As with the regular paints, I used a variety of glaze colors.. such as green, sepia, browns, reds and blacks.

      This helps to create more of a randomness to the colors, since we humans like patterns way too much!!
